Efforts being made for boathouse on Ford Lake
A project started more than eight years ago to build a boathouse on Ford Lake, which would serve as a home to area rowing teams, has regained steam as a collaborative effort of volunteers eagerly await word on a $500,000 grant from the state.

The boating lake at Tramore County Waterford is now a giant ice skating rink because of the longest freezing cold spell since 1963. Last time I remember something like this was when Kilbarry bog froze over in 1963
